Each Word Counts

OK I made my word count on the novel today so I am flipping over to the blog for a bit so I can work some stuff out in my head before I go back to the novel.
Caroline and I took down our Halloween decorations today. She was very helpful to me in helping to roll up power cords and hold strands of lights for me until I got them all untied. She looked really cute hauling tombstones onto the porch and stacking them.
I might take a break and get this years Halloween Pictures up on the website. I might pull down some older stuff that is getting on to a year old. The only really old stuff I tend to leave up are the costumes and the art stuff. Someday I am going to figure out how to redo it so the site looks like a real site rather that what I currently have.
I have a chunk of the beginning of the novel up at the Nanowrimo site. My handle for this year is Puppetmaker43 if you care to look at it. Just a reminder this is (currently) not a science fiction or fantasy novel. I'll tell you if it changes tone on me. I do find it daunting that as of tomorrow this novel will be over 10,000 words and is rapidly heading to the longest thing I have ever written. Some day I will get back to the other thing I started because I worked out how that one was going to end. This one is more of an experiment for me.
This next weekend we will be at United Fan Con. We had a blast last year so we decided that we would bring the family up again this year. I am going to get the Doctor Who Puppets fixed up as well as the Fluzzies which will be making an appearance at Peter's table at the convention. Gives me a little time to get some stuff done.
I find it interesting that writing seems to come easiest in the morning which is when I usually do my blog writing. So if I can get my writing in before noon I feel pretty good. Afternoon writing feels like I am pulling teeth. I know that if I ever went pro with this that time of day is going to have to become meaningless since you have a job to do and you have to do it.
I am grateful that Caroline was so much help today.
