Getting Ready for DragonCon

puppetmakerOK the DragonCon pocket Program is up and I am quite happy with the mix of stuff I am doing. Peter has a table in Artists Alley (#30 or his regular place for those who have seen him at his table at DragonCon before). I have stuff in the Art Show (or will have once I get the rest of it done. *sigh*)
This time next week I will be in Atlanta again. It is always a funny feeling going back to the place that you grew up. Things change and remain the same all at the same time. I am looking forward to see people I have known in Fandom for years and years (for some going on over 30). It is interesting to see how people have to reprocess what they remember of me to who I am now. I still have people who are processing that I met and married Peter not to mention that I have a daughter now who is 3 1/2. Caroline wants to wear her princess dress at the convention which means I need to wash it and fix the hem before hand. I'll add it to the list of all the other things I said I was going to get done before DragonCon.
Today I am going to try to wig out. That is put all the wigs on the puppets. We'll see how far I get.
I am grateful for safe travel.

Date: 2006-08-26 01:25 pm (UTC)My best friend, who lives in Georgia, is going to Dragon*Con this year. It's her first convention EVER - a great way to start! - and I wish I could be there to enjoy it with her. Oh well - maybe next year.
