We went to a Long Island Ducks game last night. Caroline and I went on ahead since Peter and Ariel had bowling in their Ducks league (You get a pair of tickets to a game with everyone in the league). They joined us about the bottom of the 6th I believe. Caroline paid a lot more attention than she had previously at the Ducks game. It is amazing what a difference a year makes. The Ducks won and Caroline had ice cream both of which she declared as good things. The weather was perfect for an evening game. Not too hot nor too cold. There was even a nice breeze through most of the game. The seats were right behind home plate and were given to us by a friend who has those seats for the entire season. They use them about one or twice a month and give out all the other tickets to their friends and business associates. It gave Caroline a great view of the pitching which she enjoyed.

John Kennedy who did the excellent "Puppet Mania" book has a new one out called "Puppet Planet" which picks up where he left off in his first book. The puppets and the techniques are more complicated than the first book but if you mastered the skills in the first one then this is the next step up. I'll post a review after I have read it. It came out in April but I didn't know it existed until I saw it in my local Borders. Which is strange since I search out new puppetry books on Amazon once a month. Also out is the 20th anniversary edition of The Goblins of Labyrinth which has additional material. The pressed Fairy calendar is out as well. I can't find a Goblins Calendar and am hoping that they are going to do one.

Off to really get some work done for DragonCon. I am hoping that the puppet wigs are going to arrive today.

I am grateful that Caroline had so much fun at the ball game.
