The Magic in the Kingdom

They talk about Disney magic and I have seen it in action now with my daughter. A year ago Peter wrote about his ride with her on the Peter Pan Ride. This year I write about the day that my daughter met almost all of the Disney Princesses in one shot. (Well we did take a couple of pictures.) This one is a little long thus the cut.
We went to the Magic Kingdom on our last day at Disney World this time and it turned out that it was a best way for the family to enjoy all their time at Disney. Again we met up with some friends and headed to the back of the park so Ariel could take Caroline on Dumbo. We missed the first ride by about 10 people but they were on the 2nd trip. Caroline loved it so much that of course she wanted to just stay on. Fortunately she has the concept that she needs to get off to give others a turn and she can take another turn if she will wait for it. Ariel and I along with our friends went off to see the we could get on Pirates while Peter road Dumbo, the merry-go-round, and the Peter Pan ride with Caroline. We didn't have much of a wait. I find the changes mostly cosmetic. The story line of Barbosa looking Jack has been threaded into the existing tableaus. Yes I agree that the Davy Jones FX is really cool but over all it is in many ways the same ride just cleaned up a bunch. Our friends had to depart and Ariel and I rejoined Peter and Caroline. I rode Dumbo with Caroline.
We were off to meet the Princesses after that. Thanks to a very good friend at Disney, we had arranged to meet and greet some of the characters after the 10:40 showing of Cinderellabration. Caroline waited patiently and told us that she was going to meet Cinderella. We were ushered backstage where I think all our jaws dropped about the same time. It was not just Cinderella and another princess. It was ALL the princes, princesses, the King, the Arch Duke, and the Fairy Godmother. Caroline took one look gasped and ran behind my legs which I think would have been my reaction of I were 3 1/2 and suddenly found myself looking at almost all the Disney Princesses with their princes. Peter said that he was floored by the visual too. (I am hoping he will write up his POV on this meet and greet {hint hint dear}).
Caroline was holding her Simba which had become her constant companion. I told the group that she had Simba with her. She held it out and handed it to the Fairy Godmother who petted it. Aladdin pointed out that Simba was a king too. Then she started looking around and talking to the Royalty we found ourselves in the midst of. By the end of the visit she was hugging and kissing the princesses. We got a few pictures and left profusely thanking them for their time.
Ariel and Caroline walking into the Tinkerbelle Toy Store which is Princess central for Disney Merchandize. Caroline made a bee line for the Cinderella Dresses and picked one out that she wanted. Ariel tried to get her to wear a tiara but I said that she won't go for it. Caroline proceeds to pick out a pink crown and decorate it. My little tom-boy turned into a princess.
We got seats at the front of the stage for the show. Caroline met some other little girls in princess outfits also waiting for the show to start. They danced with each other to the music. Once the show started Caroline and her fellow princesses were riveted. Since the princesses on stage had met my little princess they picked her out of the crowd and blew kisses and waved to her. Which thrilled all the little girls there. Cinderella saw Caroline and put her hand to her heart and smiled a big smile to Caroline. Bella mouthed to me "How cute is she?" So Caroline was in princess heaven at this point. We finished watching the show and split up. I took the pretty princess into Fantasy land while Peter and Ariel went to sign her up for VDW (Virtual Disney World). Caroline and I road on the carousel a couple of time and then went back to Cinderella's Castle to eat lunch there. She had her picture taken with more princesses and ate most of her lunch as well.
After lunch we traveled to our rooms. Caroline wants to watch, of course, Cinderella. Ariel settles in with her as Peter and I go to the Spa for some relaxation and rest. We had a splendid time and I tried Hydrotherapy for the first time. I really like it a lot. All the tension in my feet from walking through the Magic Kingdom went away. Rested and relaxed we rejoined the girls.
Caroline was asleep and I took Ariel back to the Magic Kingdom where we had dinner at the Noodle Place which wasn't bad for fast food. We got fast-passes for Buzz Lightyear and went on the people mover just for something to do. As we were on it a storm broke out over our head but we were kept dry as we watched everyone scurry for cover. The people mover is really a hidden Disney Treasure for something fun to do. It takes you all over Tomorrowland including inside Space Mountain which was especially interesting this time around since Space Mountain was being repaired and all the lights were on. Ariel looked very carefully at the set up and realized that she never went upside down which she swore she did. Since it was raining we just got back in line for the people mover and rode it 4 more times until the rain had stopped and our fastpasses were good. We rode Buzz Lightyear and fired at the targets. My score stunk up the joint but Ariel's was passable. We got a phone call from Peter. Caroline needed to tell me something. She said, "Need Blue Crown." Apparently she caught her reflection in the mirror and realized that pink crowns and blue dresses don't really go together so she needed a blue crown. Ariel and I fulfilled her wish and then walked over to the Haunted Mansion to see if there was a wait. There wasn't and we walked right in. After that we decided to get dessert and get back to the hotel. Peter and I then went and closed down the Adventures Club again. A good day for all.
I am grateful for good friends who arranged for Caroline's Disney Moment.
