Well Epcot part 2 since Ariel and I went there the day before. We did manage to trade Simba for Pinky Pie so that was a small stuffed animal vs. something 1/2 the size of Caroline. On the way to Epcot Caroline was having Simba talk to her and she was replying to him. Apparently Simba was very sad since his mommy and daddy were no where to be found. He was roaring for them. (She does a good roar too). I am listening to her with 1/2 an ear since I am sorting out the road directions and in the middle of the stream of talk comes the utterance from Caroline, 'Don't worry baby Simba. We'll buy your mommy and daddy today.' Thus in her mind completing the family. Peter and Ariel were giggling up a storm.

We got to Epcot and joined up with a friend of ours. Ariel wanted to take Caroline on "Soaring" the new ride in the Land part of Epcot. We had lunch reservations at the Coral Reef at 1:00. We also wanted to do "Turtle Talk" with Crush the turtle. So I ran off to the Fast Pass booth for "Soaring" and got us tickets for that. I then walked to the Living Seas and found the family in the line for "Turtle Talk." Of course this meant that Caroline couldn't look at the Nemo exhibit anymore. So she cried and complained until we got in and sat down. Once Crush started to talk she was enraptured. It is a really cool show. Crush interacts with the audience and answers the children's questions. He also gives some cool turtle facts along the way like that if the turtle eggs are laid in cool sand then they hatch as boys and if they are in warm/hot sand then they hatch as girls. Caroline totally bought the illusion as did the rest of the kids and most of the adults.

We then went to use our fast passes at "Soaring". We now official know that Caroline is a little over 40 inches. Since she had to be at least 40 inches to go on the ride. We buckled in and then we soared above the world as if in a hang glider. It was very well done and Caroline loved it. We got lots of whees and giggles from her along with some Wows and other gasps of appreciation. All in all it was a hit with her. The rest of us enjoyed it a lot too. I have a terrible fear of heights and I didn't feel at all freaked by the ride. I think it helped that we were in the back row so I had some idea how high we really were.

After that we went to the Coral Reef to see if we could get in a little earlier. They could and it was the perfect place to take Caroline. There is a large fish tank that you can look at from your seat in the restaurant. Caroline was in heaven. Pasta to eat and fish to watch. The meal for all of us was really good.

We then went on the Journey into Imagination which has changed a lot since I first went on it. For one thing the Dream Catcher has been replaced by Eric Idel. At this point Caroline was starting to fade so we went back to the room. Apparently we were all more fatigued than we knew since we all ended up taking long naps. Peter changed our reservations at the Prime Time Cafe to a later seating knowing that it is better to eat later than wake the 3 year old or even the 14 year old from their nap.

We woke up rather refreshed and went to MGM. Ariel wanted to take Caroline to see the Little Mermaid show which is close to the front gate. We did that under protest of Caroline until she realized what the show was about. (This was the pattern the whole time here. First ride or show she was a pill then she was ready for whatever we had for her to do next.). We had enough time to leisurely walk to the Prime Time Cafe. Caroline ate her dinner very nicely and shared in our favorite dessert on Disney Property (outside of Victoria and Alberts) which is the S'Mores. We then figured out what time it was and headed for the Muppets in 3-D so I could do my yearly pilgrimage. It is still a lot of fun. We skipped Star Tours having just had dinner. Peter and Ariel got an Ariel Doll which has apparently over 195 phrases programmed into her. Caroline is dubious about that doll. Caroline and I went back to the room where I did laundry and started to get us ready to leave on Monday. Peter and Ariel went back to the Adventures Club where the manatee jokes were apparently in full swing.

I am grateful for Disney Dining Reservations.
