When it rains....

I swear if I didn't have bad luck right now I would have no luck at all. A bunch of stuff keeps almost going right and then takes that lovely left turn to wrong. And yesterday just added to the fun.
We had a great time at the graduation party and had fun talking to our friends and making some new ones. That was the nice part of the day.
The rain and thunderstorms were not as nice and then I lost my house keys which I keep separate from my car keys. This included my one working copy of my studio key. We have narrowed down to where I lost them but it isn't looking good for their recovery so any good thoughts or prayers or energy you want to send would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, I can get replacements for the keys I need to use but there was a lot of history to that key ring. I kept a couple of keys on there that may not fit any locks anymore but held great personal meaning to me. I had that key ring since I was either 10 or 12. I got it at a shop that no longer exists in Emory Village whose owner talked to kids rather than chasing them away. The shop closed after a fire took out 1/2 the shopping center and a lot of businesses that were affected by the water damage had to shut their doors.
So I feeling a little down today and the weather is not exactly helping. We are looking at rain for the next.day or so and then scattered thunderstorms for the next week. Thunderstorms make it difficult for Peter to work since it is not a good idea to have your computer on during a storm.
I am grateful that I do have my car keys which also has the key to my bowling locker.

Date: 2006-06-25 12:52 pm (UTC)We got a ton of rain here just before I got off work yesterday. So much that the roads were flooded in unusual spots. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it through that low spot at the entrance of the parking lot. It stopped for a while, then started pouring again as I was coming home from the grocery store--natch.
National Weather Service website has a tsunami warning up for the East Coast--but it's just a test.

It has been raining pretty hard out here off and on. No thunderstorms like Friday Night but still we are very soggy.
Ain't it always the case that it rains when you have a bunch of stuff to bring into the house?

I was planning to buy lots more stuff because I need to stock up for a potential six weeks of no shopping, but I stuck to the essentials because of the weather. Now I have to go back.
