Of course your birthday fell upon the day that I drove Ariel up to Sacred Heart University. But I wish you a Happy One and look forward to seeing you down in Atlanta-land. Sean is my cool hip younger brother who has all kinds of talents and abilities. Better known as Doc Whoopee in some circles, he is the master of party planning and execution. His ability for the practical joke is god-like. Also he has given me lot of good music to listen to over the years.

I have driven Ariel up to college and dropped her off. I did all the mom things about helping her set up her room and buying her food. We got her laptop and set it up. I met the people running the program in Ireland. It was a very pleasant day with a little sadness in parting but I know she is going to have a blast and she is in good hands.

Now I am home and we have a couple of days before the cat sitter comes to play with the cats while we are off to DragonCon.

I am grateful that it wasn’t raining hard while we moved her stuff in.
