In your defense, so did a lot of people. In particular, I think many folks considered the Colts' and the Patriots' games this past weekend to be mere formalities en route to the final round. The Steelers and Broncos, however, didn't get the memo.... *grin*
See, I looked at the Patriots-Denver matchup and said, "The Pats lost to Denver earlier in the season already, and Denver's got home-field advantage. I'd be surprised if the Pats pull this one off."
Of course, I'm a Pats fan back to the early 80s, so I expect them to lose more than they win, and I see the "dynasty" of which many speak to be just 3 flukily-good years.
(and, yes, I do believe I'm inventing the word "flukily" up there.)
