United Fan Con the Conclusion

puppetmakerNot much more to report on the convention. We packed up and said our good-byes to friends old and new. The cousins played together and watched Toy Story. We drove back. Thanks goodness for the ferry since Peter had driven Ariel back to Queens the night before so she could attend her grandfather's funeral on Sunday. He then went to the house and got her good clothes, drove back to Queens and back to Springfield. So on not much sleep he went and was there for fans. I am going to let him sleep himself out this morning. He so deserves it.
I had the living room on the brink of being clean. I had the papers in order and stuff starting to move towards its final destination. Now it looks again like a paper bomb has hit it. That is without all the stuff in the car that needs to be off loaded. I have my work cut out for me today. I want to get this done so I can get some creative stuff done without feeling guilty.
Tonight is the annual SFWA party which I plan to attend. It is always good to reconnect with the people in the industry and catch up with what people are doing. I, of course, will be bringing pictures of Caroline probably along with some pictures of my puppets. I do have my showcase to talk about along with this novel I am writing. I'll also probably be answering the "So what is Peter up to?" question. Maybe I should just get it all printed up on a card like a baseball card with his picture on the front.
Wednesday I catch up with my brother and his wife to go see Avenue Q so that will be trip number 2 into the city this week. We are NOT going anywhere this weekend except possibly to the movie theater to catch up on some films. Then we have Thanksgiving and Mid Ohio Con.
I am grateful we are staying put this next weekend.
