Mixed Feelings

I watched the Braves and the Mets yesterday. The Mets won but, since I grew up in Atlanta, I always have mixed feelings about those games. American League is much easier. I cheer on the Orioles in good times and bad.
I have mixed feelings about the ending to this season's "Chuck". They finished a major arc in two years time. The series has a pretty good ending but I want more. I want to know what happens next. I have mixed feelings to rather angry feelings towards the conclusion of this year's Heroes. I feel that nothing really happened this year. I’m liking Lost better this year than last year. We were marking time for the next season. Please, let's talk vagaries about these shows in the comments since not everyone is caught up on their DVR.
I have been taking my Z-Pac as prescribed and dealing with the side issues that my body has with this form of antibiotic. I rather deal with this than the severe allergic reaction I would have if I took penicillin, which might result in my not being able to do anything anymore.
Today I am taking muffins to the school for the Teacher Appreciation lunch, restock the larder and make some sort of dent in the mess I call the living room. Laundry is done so that is one thing I don’t have to do until Friday.
Creative is on my list as well but not at the top of the list. It is balancing what I need to do with what I want to do. But that’s just part and parcel of being an adult and a parent.
I am grateful for sunshine. I really saw sunlight this morning. First time in about a week I think.

Date: 2009-05-06 06:21 pm (UTC)HEROES has disappointed me since the middle of Season Two, but I keep watching. Too many teases, too many intriguing stories that go nowhere. I had been keeping up with the online graphic novels last year, but this year due to computer troubles I can't access them anymore, and apparently one has to experience both the GNs and the TV show to get the "whole story".
The only show that has kept me intrigued, amused, and emotionally involved this year has been FRINGE. I don't watch LOST and I never saw ALIAS, so I have no previous experience with Mr. Abrams' work. The cast is wonderful, the show has layers that I keep needing to rewatch to peel them back, and it keeps the balance between humour and pathos.
