Lady Luck Shining?

Funny thing happened last night. I occasionally play the Lottery or scratch-off tickets. I play those the same way I gamble at a Casino. I never play more than I can afford to lose. There have been some fun games which you can play for a while before you find out if you have won or lost. I was at the Bowling Alley watching Peter bowl in his second league for the evening. I want to play the Lottery but the machine had been shut down for the night so I played the scratch off machine. After putting my money in and getting my tickets I proceeded to scratch. One ticket's prize gave me back what I had put into the machine so I figured I had broken even and that was good for the night. I thought the other tickets were losers so I was about to ditch them when I took a closer look at one of them. I went to one of my bowling buddies and asked her if I was seeing what I was seeing. She looked and told me that she thought I had won $1000 dollars. Someone who plays these tickets a lot looked at it and told me that I had. So I came out $1000 ahead. Not bad. I wish I could have bought a ticket for the Lottery since the luck was in my favor but such is life.
I did get quite a bit done yesterday. Not as much as I would like but then that seems my usual state about getting things done. Peter is off to Wizard Con in Texas. He had a very early flight. It is just me and Caroline until Ariel gets home from school then the 3 of us will runs some errands we have been needed to run.
So today is more cleaning and writing and possibly some art. Apparently Art-by-The-Inch is going too. And of course there is playing with Caroline. I think if it warms up a little bit more we will go to the playground so she can run around and burn off some of her abundant Caroline Energy and stretch her legs. It's good exercise for me too following her around and the occasional games of chase Caroline which dissolves both of us into giggles.
I am grateful for unexpected chances.
