puppetmaker | What Day is Today?

Today is a fog day. I went to bed late, didn't sleep well and had to get up early. To add to the fun, Peter is off the Tampa for a convention so I don't have my backup for today. Ariel is visiting with her mom this weekend so no backup until everyone gets back Sunday. Which is fine. I have done this before and will do it again. It is easier and harder now that Caroline is older.

This weekend will be costume making and decorating the house. I have a bunch of lights and stuff for the exterior of the house I want to get up today. I just have to wait for the morning dew to burn off so the tape will stick. I don't know if I am doing a diorama this year or not. I have an idea for one but think I don't have the time. I guess I'll put it on the list of things to do next year.

Caroline has taken to wearing dresses. She has a couple of them that fit her. I had to hide her summer dresses because she wanted to wear them and it is a bit too cold. She wants to wear the dress and pants. So far I have managed to coordinate the color of the pants to the dress. She has become such a pretty little girl. Current pictures can be found at

Sunday is my niece Genevieve's 3rd birthday. Ariel picked out some nice stuff for her. I plan to ship it out today so it will get there in time for her birthday. I am hoping I have some birthday wrapping paper that is good for little girls around here still.

Caroline's 3rd birthday is coming up soon. I need to start figuring out what we are going to do for it and when since this year her birthday is in the middle of the week. It seems just like the other day I was coming home from the hospital with her. Time flies.

I am grateful for patterns to make cool stuff.
