Or I think things out for the week.

This time of year is kind of a funny one for me.

It is the beginning of the year during which certain things happen every year at this time and other things pop up that must be dealt with especially if you have your own business.

There are other things that I bring over from last year to this year that still need to be done.

Today is also, according to Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes’ birthday. He was born in 1854. In honor of that, I am watching the 1984 version of the Speckled Band and then will be watching other Holmes fair.

I have so many ideas flowing through my brain. I have puppets I want to build. Stuff I wish to get done before Farpoint. Writing I need to do and want to do.

This year I would really like to get back to the dolls. I have ideas of what I want to create and, now that I have found my tool, no reason not to dive back into that craft. Also, I would like to learn to knit and crochet or rather purl and crochet because I can only knit at this point. And felting looks cool too. Yes, I do love fiber arts.

I have some other things that have come over from the past year including going things that need to be gone through to keep, donate, or toss. I think I have a lot more varied types of envelopes than I realize along with other office supplies.

But today I am resting my knee which is swollen to about the size of a grapefruit. I can’t bend it all the way and the pain radiating from my knee is going into my shin and ankle as well. I know what is wrong and it will either correct itself or it won’t. Just plenty painful right now.

I am grateful that I can walk rather than hobble.
