We have a small area rug that is based on the devil’s traps they draw on the TV series Supernatural to entrap deamons for various reasons. Mewlan has decided that this is the best toy for her insane kitten games in the universe. Unfortunately she gets her claws snagged in the rug while she is using to skid across the living room and it is getting a bit torn up. At this point I am just letting her do it because the rug is quickly turning into a lost cause and why shouldn’t she have some fun. It is one of Inky’s favorite places to nap especially when it is in a sunbeam.
Today is laundry day. I have declared it so due to the number of socks left in the sock drawer. We have reached that point that it is time to go buy more socks because they have worn out either in the toe or the heel. Toe I can fix but once the heel goes, it is an ex-sock. I also need to fix a hole in my favorite Dr. Strange shirt sometime today.
The power blinks that happened over the past three storms have had a couple of casualties in our house. Three surge suppressing power strips have given up the ghost doing what they were made for, keeping our electronics from doing the same thing. I have replaced them with new ones that have USB ports for one’s portable electronic needs. There is one part that is going to be harder to replace and this is one of those times I so miss Radio Shack because I know if it still existed I could get a replacement right now rather than when I get it shipped to us.
I repaired the weather strip on our front door this morning along with a few other things that needed to be screwed in around the house. I am feeling handy today. I need to get a battery replacement for my DeWalt portable drill to get a few other jobs done. Considering that those portable packs are over 20 years old, they have done well for rechargeable batteries.
Spring is in the air! Or rather the pollen season is starting around here. But we are bracing for yet another nor’easter that may or may not be coming in our direction.
I am grateful for the fact that the battery packs lasted as long as they did.
