And again I awake to a totally different weather report from when I went to sleep.

Apparently this storm is going to start earlier in the day and be more rain than snow on the coast.

So that is making me rethink what I need to do before this afternoon.

Covering the car is a must because that way we will be ready for whatever. And my superstitious side reminds myself that the one time I didn’t cover the car because I thought it was going to be nothing, we got 6 inches of snow which was a pain to get off of the car.

Caroline is sleeping in because she can since it is her winter break. She did a happy dance because her teachers did not assign her homework over the break. She plans to get ahead on a couple of projects that are due within the next month or so. I love my kid and her ability to get things done.

Peter has a cold that is kicking his rump pretty hard. He has managed to get his contract writing done but not as much on the other things he is working on. I am checking and he is not running a fever and he can breath so not flu.

The cats are having another round of kitty politics. Fig is having none of it and thwaping the other two if they try to engage her. Inky is finding places to sit so Mewlan cannot sneak up behind her and bite her on the rear. Mewlan is being a crazy kitten and wants to play. She doesn’t understand that the other two don’t.

I am going into storm mode and trying to get everything done today that I was going to do outside this weekend so if the weather stinks tomorrow, I don’t have a bunch of ‘if I had only’ running through my head.

I noticed that I am more than half way through the month and so far I managed to say something each day. I’ll take my little victories where I can.

I am grateful for the prediction of less snow if everything goes our way.
