Happy Chinese New Year! It's the year of the Dog

Gong hei fat choy y’all.

In China, this is a three day holiday that seems to get stretched into two weeks. Anyone doing business in China is now at a stand still until after the celebration is done.

Here in America we haven’t turned it into another reason to drink. I am surprised that the liquor companies haven’t figured out an angle on this one yet.

Some of my friends take this holiday as their shiny reset button for resolutions and the like that didn’t happen and give it another go.

We apparently have some snow headed our direction. When I went to bed last night the models they were showing gave our area a 1” to 3” possibility with warming to quickly follow. I woke up this morning to the possibility of 4” to 7” depending on where a pressure system decided to land. I am basically ready for either reality.

Caroline has her winter break this next week but she is going to go to robotics over that time. She is just happy that we aren’t traveling next week and she can have some time at home to possibly see her friends depending on what they have scheduled. I swear all these kids are scheduled to the nth degree.

Personally I am going to use today to get a few things off my list and make sure we have everything we need for the next couple of days.
