Never Give Up Never Surrender
Jan. 15th, 2016 09:09 amThe phrase is fresh in my head due to our watching Galaxy Quest yesterday. That film holds up so well to multiple viewings.
The state of the Kath is that I am feeling better. I seem to be doing better in the morning than I am in the afternoon and evening. I am able, finally, to get some solid sleep at night, which makes it easier to get up in the morning. The number of cough drops and hard candy I am going through is slowly reducing as is the round the clock doses of cough medicine. I woke up this morning and was breathing through my nose rather than my mouth and do not feel that congested. A big change even from yesterday. I have gone 30 minutes without coughing which, of course, the second I typed that I had to cough.
That means I can do some stuff but need not to push it. Last thing I need is a relapse with this. Peter has been taken care of the day to day along with Caroline. However we are in need of groceries and the cats need cat food and kitty litter. I think I am going to use what energy I have getting the larder restocked.
This weekend should be quiet. I am giving some thought to go see the Joshua Show in Manhattan but given my health, I might have to wait until he comes back around again.
I figure if I hunker down over the weekend, I will be pretty much back to normal on Monday.
All I know right now is that I am very grateful not to be coughing and I’d like to keep it that way.
