RTBTCKI Sick of being Sick edition
Jan. 10th, 2016 09:56 amSo day three of this crud was just as bad as day two but now I have strained both intercostal and oblique muscle groups by coughing. The sad thing is that I did one on one side and one on the other so there is no getting by some extra pain with each cough.
Yes, I will go see a Doctor about this on Monday even if it is a Doc in the Box because the over the counter cough remedies aren’t cutting it including the spoonful of honey.
I watched the Chiefs/Texans game yesterday. That was a little one sided but not totally unexpected. I am thinking my sister-in-law is happy about the Steelers pulling it out against the Bengals at the last minute. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Packers make it a little further but then I think I just cursed them. The Seahawks and the Vikings is a coin toss.
Can someone tell me what the Mets are doing? Did they declare it a rebuild year yet again? I knew Murphy was going to go but had hoped they might have rethought that. But they aren’t doing anything to get this team back to the World Series. We need some people who can hit and play defense and they have to be one and the same.
We watched Inside/Out again last night. It is such a delightful movie that really takes some interesting choices about emotions and how they affect us. I am glad that it was shown that there is a need to sadness in one’s life as well as joy, anger, fear, and disgust. If that's what is living in my head, I am fine with it and it explains so much.
I am looking forward to Zootopia. I have a basic idea of what it is about but the scene with the sloths at the DMV had me laughing so hard, I want to see what else they can do with the concept.
Dr. Strange has my stamp of approval so far, as if they needed or wanted it. As some of you know Stephen Strange is my favorite Marvel character out of the entire pantheon and I really want this film to be good. I am even fine with Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One just because of what she did in Constantine the film which are the only watchable scenes in that.
It is a good time for comic book fans and other media. We have TV shows based on the characters we love. We have films to go see. It is not strange for an adult to be reading comics or graphic novels anymore. Most of the comic book stores are now much more family friendly or at least the ones I go to. Caroline feels perfectly comfortable in a comic book shop and chats with other kids her age there about what she is reading and what they are reading. She wears her comic book t-shirts to school and gets compliments on them.
Wow I went a whole paragraph without coughing. May be I am getting better or the coffee is helping. Either way it was nice while it lasted.
I am grateful for things that keep me from coughing.
