I’ll get into the gritty details over the next couple of days.

We are back home. Caroline made it to school and participated in the first day of school. Apparently due to a typo, a lot of parents thought tomorrow was the first day plus the number of people who have family plans that needed an extra day or so to get back, the numbers were down today.

Drive back was uneventful which is how we like our long drives. Most of the day has been getting everything out of rental car and petting the cats who have forgiven us for abandoning them.

As to DragonCon itself, well to paraphrase the great Douglas Adams, DragonCon is Big…Really Big…you may think it is a long way to the end of the San Diego Convention Center but that’s peanuts compared to DragonCon.

I saw a lot of people that I wanted to see. I also waved to a lot of people. I’m sorry that many saw me running for Pillar to Post so all they got was a wave. This one was a little more than a marathon even though my panel load was less than previous years. I just had a few more things I had to do for various people which took up the rest of my time. Plus there was just the physical aspect of getting from point A to point B as Peter says, “Time is an illusion. Time to get from one panel to another is doubly so.” I got all my walking in this weekend.

I sold three Phluzzies in the Art Show and had a lot interest in the rest of the pieces. I am thinking of putting them up in my Etsy shop as a trial balloon. I have some stuff I want to do to them to make them even better. Plus I have three that need to be clothed.

The Friday Night Workmanship was the hardest contest I have had to judge. More on that tomorrow.

Caroline did well with her dad on the Saturday Night Masquerade dressed as Astrid.

I did get some time to talk to people I rarely get a chance to chat with. More on that tomorrow as well. But I did walk around with a grin on my face and a lot of people trying to work out who I was which more people knew this year because of the nice intro that the Crossed Swords gave me at the Friday Night contest (Thanks).

Again more on all this tomorrow but I wanted to put something up today.

I am grateful that we got home safely.
