MMQB 2008 Week 11
Nov. 17th, 2008 11:06 amYeah, the Titans are 10-0 but what of the poor Detroit Lions who are 0-10? They aren't just losing, they are getting pounded on. And on paper they are not that bad a team. Have or are the Titans going to play the Lions? If so wouldn't it be fun if the Titans lost to the Lions?
Also we had our first tie of the season between the Eagles and the Bengals. Not a pretty game for either side but they did play each other to tie. This is the first tie since 2002. A lot of heart and guts were spilled on the field and I am glad I didn't have to clean them up.
The Jets and Pats played a good one on Thursday. I wonder what was said in the locker room during the half because the second half of the game the Pats seem to wake up to the reality that a team they usual pound into the ground might beat them. I didn't see the overtime due to falling asleep but I saw what happened the next day. Honestly, it shouldn't have gone into overtime but the defense got sloppy and it looked like it was going to be a loss. Now the Jets hold onto first place all by themselves in their division. But next week is the Titans so they may not hold it for long.
The Giants did something that no team has been able to do against the Ravens this year. They ran the ball. They ran it for 207 yards. This one came down to yardage and ball possession. The turnovers were big too but the Giants just had more time to put plays together.
Falcons lost which they deserved to considering how they were playing. They are better than that. The Steelers and Chargers game came down to the wire and a field goal. It could have gone either way there. What happened to the Raiders? The Dolphins are a decent team this year but they are beatable.
Bowling was exciting too but Peter hasn't seen the last couple of matches so I'll say no more now.
I am grateful for ESPN recaps of games so I can sort out games I didn't watch.
