Late yesterday I walked our yard and picked up some stuff that had either been tossed by the wind or it could be. I put our extra cans in the garage long with the rakes. Good thing I did. We had some rather heavy winds last night. I returned a couple of garbage/yard clipping/recycling cans back to the neighbors that they belong to that I had found in my yard this morning. Most of the leaves are down now and many of them like my lawn the best.

I found out later that we were under a tornado watch last night due to conditions being conducive for a tornado to form. None did but there was some damage to trees and property across Long Island.

Peter and I are going to take care of the rest of the leaves either later today or tomorrow early. I want to get it done before the next rain storm blows through later this week.

Right now I am trying to slow down and let my body recover from this cough before Thanksgiving. Caroline's energy level is normal but the cough persists. She is currently working with a drawing book following the directions and figuring out how to draw things.

I am grateful for things that make my throat feel better.
