Muppets to the Rescue!
Nov. 9th, 2008 09:47 amCaroline had a rather rough day yesterday. The cough was pretty unrelenting except the short time that cough syrup gave her to not cough. She fell asleep at about 3 in the afternoon and didn't wake up until about 7:30 so I knew it was going to be a late night. I had put on the Muppet show for my own amusement while she slept after the football game I was watching was over. She woke up and started watching. After it was done, she asked to see another. We watched a couple more and then I put on the Muppet Movie. She curled up in my lap and we watched it together. She asked some very intelligent questions while watching it. She giggled through the silliness and gasped when Kermit was in danger.
We finished that about 11 and she was still very much awake so I took her up to my bed and we settled down with more Muppet show. About 1:30 she had fallen asleep, I finished watching the one with George Burns and shut every thing off. She woke me at 2:30 wondering what happened to the Muppet Show. I convinced her to go back to sleep after she went to the potty.
Then about 3:30 the coughing started. She was asleep most of the time but there were times that she would sit up half asleep and I would rub her back as she coughed. I finally got her to sleep with her head propped up so the coughing was much less. We got up about 7:00.
She seems much better this morning. The cough is much less than it was yesterday. Her energy is pretty much back to Caroline normal. If this keeps up, then we are going to go out and run some errands that need to be run including replacing our iPhone plugs for the other version. Ariel snapped the prong on hers.
I am so grateful for the Muppet Show right now.
