I have noticed something about the New Who season. For the most part you have a couple of decent episodes that make you want to watch and then you have an episode that makes it so you MUST WATCH the rest of the season and the show kicks to another level.

For the first season, it was engaging my interest and then we had "Dalek" and I was totally hooked on Who again. For the second season it was moving along and I was enjoying it and then came "School Reunion" and I believed in the power of RTD. Last season I was enjoying myself even though fans were kvetching about this and that and then "Human Nature" came along and rocked my universe and the universe kept rocking all the way through the end of the season.

This year I have, again, enjoyed the show so far but this one kicked it up to the next level. Good acting, an interesting situation, and some companions who are problem solvers rather than screamers. Screaming worked way back when and there is a certain cheesy factor to it that is fun to watch but my two old Who favorites were Sarah Jane and Ace with Romana coming in a close third.

And yes the title character leads to some interesting discussion about what it is to be a time lord and what is a time lord.

I am grateful for air cool as it is called in "Driving Miss Daisy" and many parts of the south.
