This is the last full day of vacation. Tomorrow is a travel day and we will be home again after a week away. Traveling has the additional wrinkle of my "no fly list" sort of status so we need to leave extra time to prove that I am me. *Sigh*

Today is another day of beach, pool and naps. I have one errand to run to pick up a bag for Caroline's animals so they can travel on the plane with her. My parents are taking a few things we bought back up to Atlanta and then we will pick them up at Christmas.

Caroline has taken to trying to sleep with me on a twin bed. I convinced her to go back to her bed last night. The night before she spent a majority of the night curled up next to me. This works better when I have at least a full size mattress.

Peter is having fun out in San Diego. He did pitch in the Marvel vs. DC softball game. Marvel won. I got to talk to Wendy Froud via Peter's cell phone about my idea for the Fairy Grandmothers which she thought a good one. It is really kind of neat that I can chat with people I thought were so neat when I was a kid (most of them still are).

I am grateful for the time I am having at the beach.

I will say starting out that this is not my favorite episode of Doctor Who. In fact it rates rather low on my list. I do understand what they were trying to do but I live on Long Island and go into Manhattan quite frequently. I also studied the depression era while in college so this one just annoyed my inner historian to no end.

The performances are solid all around. Their casting director did a good job with what they had to work with. Some of the American accents were not quite there but over all not a bad job.

Caroline likes Daleks so she had no problem watching it even when it did get scary.

I am grateful for long walks on a nice beach.
