This has been one of those long days and it ain't over yet. I still have a couple of things to do before I sleep.

I got up early and hopped on a train to Manhattan then a subway up to where David's funeral was. I am very glad that I went. It was nice seeing a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while and meeting a couple of people who I had never really "met" before. We laughed and cried and held each other. It helped a lot.

After that I toddled down town for the first day of the Wendy Froud doll-making class. It was fun seeing a lot of people I have taken this class from before. I was complimented by Wendy for my increasing sculpting skills. I learned a bunch of detailed stuff that would not make sense if I hadn't gotten the basics down. I actually did what I said I was going to do and made a female figure. I am happy with the way it turned out so far. Tomorrow is feet, hands, and body. I need to pack my material for the body and tomorrow night I think I will dig out the materials I have set aside for a doll.

Tonight is about finishing up some paper dolls and getting them in the mail for tomorrow.

I am grateful that I could go to David's funeral.
