A Couple of Different Things
Jan. 29th, 2007 10:37 amNormally this would be a RTBTCKI but I am on my second cup and had time for the first one to jump start my brain. So far this morning I got some laundry in and parts of the house cleaned up. I have a list of errands to run today all things I have been putting off until I could get the time to do it so I am making time this morning. There is one that I will probably not get to but I plan to use my Wednesday time to do that one.
My brain is feeling clearer. I have been sleeping through the night with only one or two wake ups with the ability to fall right back to sleep when I do wake up. It is amazing how much a good night sleep can help. I have been pushing myself not to take a nap in the afternoon to see if that helps at night. I will say that I have been having very vivid dreams for the past couple of nights.
A question I get asked usually when on a wives panel (which happens to me more in Europe and South America than here) and a lot at conventions is do you collaborate with your husband? Sort of is the answer. He will come to me with an idea he has been mulling over in his head and we'll bounce it around until it works for both of us. There have been other occasions where I have come up with an odd idea that I am not quite sure where to go with it and Peter will help me sort it out or he'll come up with a better version of it and we'll talk about that. It is interesting how much we think alike and how much we think differently when we have these talks.
We saw the Sarah Jane Adventures special and really liked it. I do admit to calling it "Torchwood lite" about halfway though. It had the perfect combination of scary and funny for both the adults and the kids. There were also the lines that would go right over the kids' heads but gives the adults a giggle. I am looking forward to seeing the series when it finally airs. I am sort of up in the air about the K-9 solution but I guess that works.
Speaking of Torchwood, we have the second half of the season to watch. Part of the problem is due to content Peter and I have to screen the episodes before Ariel can see them. There have been two so far that we both decided she had to be a little older before she can see them. So we have a narrow window of opportunity in which to watch them.
Now off to start the day of errands and stuff.
I am grateful to good friends who keep us caught up on cool shows
