Oct. 2nd, 2006

I got the paper dolls done. They turned out much better than I thought they would. I started to take pictures but the camera's battery gave up about 3 pictures in so I am recharging it in hopes of taking a few more before I have to ship these out for the swap sometime today.

October arrived rather quickly. This weekend is AlbaCon which we will be attending. Our cat sitter is ready to step in and take care of the boys. I'll have the Doctors in the Art Show and I am looking forward to the weekend

I'm not too happy with my cats right now. Vanille (the big grey) showed up outside our bedroom door at 6:35 wondering why his humans (or at least one of them) had not gotten up and fed him yet. Peter gets up with Ariel at 6:00 AM to help her get off to school. No school today since it is Yom Kippur and synagogue doesn't start until 9:00 so we weren't going to get up until 7:00 unless Caroline got up early (She got up at 7:30). Except this cat wailing outside our door with his brother joining in to add to the chorus. I opened the door and growled at them and they ran down stairs. Peter got up and fed them but I was awake by that point. The two grays are hiding now because they know I am not happy with them.

Caroline informed me that she wants not to be Cinderella for Halloween or Princess Caroline. No, she wants to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast. She wants a Yellow Dress to wear. Now there is the simple way to go about this and just go to the Disney Store and get her one or the more complicated path of making the dress. There is a Disney approved pattern for it which is not too hard.

The next couple of days are about getting the Doctors ready for the show. I need to check over the puppets and make sure they are ready for display. Then there is the 4th Doctor that needs to be made (regenerated?) to complete the set. Of course he is one of the more complicated ones to do. I also finally found a good fabric for the 10th Doctor's coat so I am remaking that and possibly his 3-D glasses.

I am grateful to find a fabric that is a lot closer to the coat than I could find before.

and their families who will never know that I wrote this.
And the injured who's fate in not in our hands right now.
I am so sorry.
I am holding Caroline next to me and thinking about those people who can't hug their children any more because some (censored words here) walked into an Amish school and picked out who he thought should live and who should die for some slight that happened 20 years ago. I hope that his soul never knows peace again.
