Peter and I went to the Marvel Screener of X-Men 3 or X-Men Last Stand depending on how you want to call it. Ran into a bunch of people we knew and caught up on news. Peter did a little business while there and I am hoping one of the things he was hoping to work out comes to fruition.

This review is without spoilers. I can't make that promise for the comment section. Anything I talk about here has been seen in the trailers. The previous two movies as Peter has commented were character driven. This one is plot driven and is one heck of a roller-coaster ride. The look is great again. The casting is darn near perfect. I don't know where they dug up the Juggernaut but he looks the part. The fastball special is great and would probably the way the physics on this sort of thing works. Angel's wings were an amazing thing. And for all you Wolverine fans, he has plenty of screen-time and even a scene with his shirt off. This time they let him be the height he really is rather than trying to make him short. There are a lot of in-jokes and nods to characters in the X-verse.

There were a couple of gut blows during the movie that had our audience in a lather at points. There are also a couple of "Did I just see what I thought I saw?" Made me want a rewind button so I could see that moment again. Guess I am just going to have to go see the film again. There is a lot going on in this film. It is a visual feast for the eyes. I also had the perfect audience to see it with who knew as much if not more than I did about the X-men so it is going to be interesting to see it with an audience made up mostly of people who have seen the previous two films. Great Summer blockbuster with the potential for legs.

I am grateful that I got to see the Marvel Screening of X-Men 3.
