New Years Eve 2005
Dec. 31st, 2005 09:19 amWe have the rest of our plans this evening. One of the neighbors decided to create an impromptu New Years Eve party by inviting a bunch of the neighbors over to their house to watch the ball drop. One of the nice things about living in a small neighborhood.
Caroline has a new TV show she really enjoys. Dr. Who. We were watching the Eccleston episodes last night and are about half way through the season. She pointed at the Doctor and said "Dr. Who!" quite proud of herself. She was watching the show very carefully. This morning she found one of my British magazines and pointed proudly to the cover and said, "Dr. Who." Sure enough there was a picture of Eccleston as Dr. Who. She also says "Dalek." *sniff* I'm so proud. On another note, this season of Dr. Who rocks my world. Wow! And according to those who have seen the whole series, we haven't seen the best episodes yet.
I have been seeing more New Years Resolutions on the various web logs that I read. I use to make a list of things I want to change in the next year. I would then seal it into an envelope and open it next New Years Eve to see if I did any of them or even remember what they were.
Here is what I wrote for 2005 on Jan. 1st 2005
New Years Resolution which came to me while I was watching the show. My resolution is to become a better person. A better mother. A better wife. A better artist. Better at all that I do. I figure I can keep this one. I strive to be better at what I do so I want to exit 2005 a better person than I entered it.
Looking over the year I think I accomplished this goal. Off to think about next year.
I am grateful for all that happened to me in 2005.
