A Quiet Morning
Nov. 9th, 2005 10:42 amBehind and under the couches are clean. I excavated all the toys and other items that either fell behind or under the couches. I found the missing 1,0,8 and O from her magnetic letter set. I found the TV remote that was programmed for the TV in the living room. We had been checking under the couches for it since it went AWOL but couldn't find it until the couch was pulled forward. I got rid of the cat hair that was lurking in the corners and now feel much better about that area. I now have one corner down and 5 to go. We'll see how I do today.
This morning Caroline and I colored together. I put down paper on the coffee table and secured it. I pulled out the crayons and we sat down and just drew things. Caroline would tell me what she wanted me to draw or what she was going to draw. She filled in my circles and drew her own. I showed her how to draw squares and she tried to do it. She informed me that she likes circles better. Just some pleasant time spent with my daughter which was very nice and relaxing.
The cats are starting to grow in their winter coats so we have extra shedding right now. I am seriously thinking about locking them up until they are done with the whole thing.
NaNoWriMo is sort of in stall. I think if I can get the living room in shape I'll feel better about sitting down and writing. Art by the inch is doing OK if I can count the work the two of did this morning. Not quite getting to what I want to get to right now but that's OK.
I am grateful for quiet time with my daughter.
