One pair of pants done with all the extra fiddly bits as well. Today I am hoping for a shirt and vest. I am tempted to make a pair of these pants for myself. They look very comfortable. That is a project for another day.
Ariel is having her moving up ceremony this evening. Next year she has the privilege of getting up an hour earlier to catch the bus to the high school. I really wish they hadn’t moved the 9th grade to the high school but it was a matter of room. What is sad is that even with the addition built onto the high school for the influx of students, they are still using trailers as classrooms. The school budget vote is today. This is the revised budget and predictions of gloom, doom and no sports next year are seen if it does not pass. Apparently 5000 out of 15,000 for the district voted. There is a drive to get parents to take some time and vote. We voted last time and plan on voting today.
Yesterday Caroline saw that I had turned on the sprinkler to water the grass. She ran to her room and grabbed her swimsuit. She came running downstairs and proceeded to try to get the suit on over her clothes. When that didn’t work, she tried to take her clothes off to get the bathing suit on. I had to tell her that we weren’t doing sprinkler today instead we were going to go bowling. She stopped, dropped the swimsuit, and got her shoes and socks. We went bowling and she shot 2 games. She loves bowling.
We watched the AFI 100 most memorable lines last night. We predicted a number of them (say about 40) before hand. 6 were from Casablanca but a lot more could have been. I was disappointed that “My name in Indigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” was not in these but they did have “badges we don’t need no stinking badges.”
I am grateful when I watch Caroline bowl.
