Doing the Dance of Puppetry
Apr. 21st, 2005 09:15 amI did get into the Puppetry Class I was hoping to get into. 5 Saturdays of intense puppet work focusing on Puppetry for Television taught by John Tartaglia, one of the creators of Avenue Q. I am doing the dance of joy.
I have found myself doing more and more puppet related stuff. I have even joined a couple of newer puppeteer groups on Yahoo and am trying to stay active in them. Getting Scorpus done has put me back into the puppet frame of mind. It is a comfortable place for me to go and be creative in. I know what I am doing for the most part since I have been making puppets for a while.
It doesn’t stop me from adding to my puppetry book collection. I came to the conclusion that I collect books on Puppetry after I started putting the books all in one place to see what I had. They have a lot of information in them that I have found useful over the years. There are a couple that I keep more in the forefront than others.
Today I have to go buy more doorknob safety covers. Caroline can now open the door to Peter’s Office which is not somewhere she should do without an adult. This means that the kitchen door will not be far behind. It is amazing how strong and big her hands are getting. I think she is out growing her shoes again too. 2T clothing is too short on her now. She’s skinny and long which makes it easy and hard to find clothing for her in her size. The 3T clothing can be too big in the waist even when she is wearing a diaper.
I am grateful for the puppetry bend my life seems to have taken.
