Considering the fact that yesterday was snowing, wet, and cold yesterday, this morning is a different season. It is already 38 degrees and the sun is shining with a bright blue sky. It feels like spring is in the air. It was pointed out to me that snowstorms in April are not that unusual to which I replied, “Shhhhh.”

Happy Purim to my Jewish readers, have a Good Friday going into the Holiest weekend of the calendar year for my Christian readers, and Happy Ostara to those Pagan readers who count it on the full moon after the Vernal Equinox rather than on the Vernal Equinox.

It is going to be warm enough to take Caroline out to her favorite playground today, which will be nice. I think I’ll bring her soccer ball with us for her to kick in the field next to the playground. We are going to do that or go into the city. There is a Dora the Explorer exhibit for kids at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan that Ariel is really hoping to take Caroline to. It might be a bit crowded this weekend since most schools are out for Easter Break.

Peter got me the official “Smile Time” Angel puppet. I haven’t been making my vampire detective for anyone since I heard this was in the pipeline because I didn’t want to comparisons with the license product. It’s OK but it doesn’t really look on model. This is really disappointing since they had the actual prop to measure. They have pictures on the back of the box of them measuring of the puppet. The handgrip is for very small hands. I have that problem with lots of manufactured puppets since I have long fingers with a palm to match the fingers. I think my two biggest complaints about the finished product is that the cheeks aren’t like the original puppets and the head is in the same proportion to the body as it is on the original puppet. I am glad I have one for my collection but I think my vampire detective is closer to the original. Maybe I’ll make one before the summer is out. Their puppet is cheaper than mine by a bit and in so many other ways.

We watched The Office last night. We hadn’t seen the BBC version which a number of our friends raved to us about over the years. We figured that we could give the American version a clean chance since we knew the premise of the show but hadn’t seen the previous version. Can’t say that I liked it. Maybe this is a new form of humor that I am never going to understand. Practical jokes can be funny I guess but I never got the show Punk’d either. The scene where the boss calls in the office assistant in to “pretend” to fire her didn’t sit well with me at all. So I think I’ll be giving this one a miss.

Today I want to clean up the kitchen, the living room, the master bedroom, and get some doll cloths done. Of course if we go into the city, then this all becomes moot since that is a day trip. Either way I want to get something constructive done today.

I am grateful for the flowers that are starting to peek out of the ground with the promise of Spring to come.
