Itchy-
I have been on an antibiotic for my sinus infection for about a week now. This morning I took my pill and about an hour later my eyes itched and felt puffy. I thought it was from my lack of sleep last night due to Caroline’s lack of sleep. I look in the mirror and I have broken out in hives. I watched as my arms became covered in little welts. I have them on the palms of my hands even. Scalp to toe. So I took an antihistamine and called my mother (teacher of nursing) who told me to call my Dr. I have an appointment at 11 today. With any luck this to will pass quickly.

Memory like an Elephant-
Last night I took a bucket with 3 baseballs and a maraca in it from Caroline so she would settle down and go to sleep. This morning I put her in her playpen and she goes about her morning inventory of her toys. Then she goes to one side and starts saying “Ball” over and over again. I look for a ball figuring she chucked one out of her pen. No ball. She continues to chant “Ball, Ball, Ball!” So I pick her up and said, “Show me.” She runs to the kitchen door and knocks on it. I open the door for her and she runs to the kitchen table and points at the plastic bucket and says, ‘Ball!” I gave her the bucket and she was happy. I was amazed that she held the fact that I had removed the bucket to the kitchen last night.

The Earthsea Miniseries-
With the understanding that I really dislike it when they mush books together, it was not bad.
Not something I would be looking forward to owning on DVD but worth my time last night. I thought set-up took a bit longer than I would have liked but they had a lot to set up if you didn't know the books at all. The cast is very good over all. Although the actor playing Jasper seems to be using a Malfoy vibe but that could have been in the book and I am misremembering. I do remember Jasper as an insufferable prig.

Most of what they skipped or shorted was understandable from a pacing point of view esp. Ged’s recovery from the attack of the Gebbeth. In the book he goes back to square one in learning magic and it takes him a long time to relearn. Also in the book the Archmage keeps him at the school for Ged’s own safety until he learns enough to become a Wizard.

I am going to give the 2nd half a watch tonight.

I am grateful for antihistamines.
