Caroline was not a happy little girl yesterday. Her nose was not her friend. She looked so puzzled every time it ran. It was a new experience for her. At her nap and her bedtime I filled the humidifier and both times it seems to help. This morning she is better than she was yesterday. Yesterday she was a having a hard time drinking anything because her nose was so stopped up. Today she is able to breath through her nose again. She keeps pointing to her nose and saying, “nose”. She will wipe it if given a tissue. Her energy level is much better than yesterday.
Mets split 2 with the Braves. I don’t think they are going to leave the season at 500. I also think that the team was screwed by a number of trades earlier in the season, which mortgaged their future as a team. Now it looks like Art Howe is out. I don’t think Art Howe is the problem. I think it has to do with upper management and the owners. Mets fans have had to deal with a lot not as much as Cub or BoSox fans but still this has not been our year in a number of years. Every year we hear the word rebuild and then watch management bring in a bunch of players who are expensive and at the end of their career. Meantime they trade off the new up and coming talent to other teams that make good use of their acquisitions of what should been young Mets. Well there is always next year.
When one joins an e-mail or newsgroup one should read what the group is about and what the rules are. They should not be surprised when they are informed that they have stepped out of line. If I join a list that talks about where to find left handed tools and some one comes on to the list and their first post is where to find right handed tools, they should not be surprised when they are invited to go looking for their information elsewhere. If they persist that the members of the list must give them where to look for right handed tools, they should not be surprised that the list becomes hostile towards them. Arguing with the members of the list is not going to ender them to anyone either. Not all lists are for all people. Some lists are more exclusive in scope than others. Respect that if you want to join a list.
I am grateful that Caroline is feeling better today.
