The Day before I become over 40

Caroline is settling into my parents’ place very nicely. The house I grew up in has a very unique floor plan in that there is a central area, which are the stairs to the second floor. You can run out this area and go though all the rooms on the first floor except the west wing of the house. Caroline loves this. Last time she was here, we used doors and kept her from wandering too far. Guess who has figured out doorknobs this time? It just makes life at much more exciting.

I feel less in a fog today as I did yesterday. It takes a bit of time to recover from a convention. As I get older it takes longer. Tomorrow I change the number attached to my age up one again. Beats the alternative by a long shot.

Off to give Caroline her bath and then visit with some old friends.
