Caroline is on the cusp of real verbal communication. She has a series of words and had put together a couple of sentences like “Night Night Mama” and Bye Bye Mama Bye Bye Dada” . She points a lot for things she wants. Recently her babble factor has been way up. She points and talks but we are having a bit of trouble deciphering what she is saying. Soon I think she is going to try it our way.
Our bunny died the other day. She was almost 5 years old so it was not one of these “what did we do wrong?” situations. She had lived her little bunny life. We were lucky that she waited until we were back from vacation. I wouldn’t wish a dead pet on any pet sitter. She was hopping around her cage one day and stretched out lifeless the next. She is not going to be replaced anytime soon. We still have the 4 cats to deal with. The eldest one is getting very gray in the muzzle. She is at least 7 to 8 years old and probably older. She was a foundling and being our outdoor car, she gets the most wear and tear of our cats. She is spending more time indoors these days which doesn’t bother me at all.
I finished unpacking from our vacation and almost have everything put away where it needs to be. I am still trying to find a cat safe place to put up my Muppet figures in the house. Currently they are set up in the studio, but I would like them in here. Peter’s anniversary present arrived right before we left. I got him one of the foam Roger heads they used in “Who framed Roger Rabbit” for POV for the actors. It was used for close-ups so it ain’t got no ears. He was surprised to say the least.
Bill Clinton is signing his new book in Manhattan today. Peter is gone to see if he can get an autograph. If he can’t, he plans to have lunch with some friends and go see a preview of Spiderman II tonight. I think Caroline and I are going to run some errands and then I am working on costumes for the rest of the day.
