Catching Up

There is so much and so little that went on while my computer was not working. I am glad to have it back and in working order.
This time I watched the screen slowly dissolve into nothing as I tried to pull some information off that I needed. Unlike other times, I couldn’t bring it back to life. Of course this was a Sunday so I couldn’t call until Monday. Monday I call and report the problem. They say that they will get a box to me. Tuesday no box arrives. I get an e-mail late in the day that I don’t see until the next day. They have the town wrong on the address label. I am on the phone on hold with Apple Repair when the truck drives up with the box. We pack it up and get it out to Apple Repair on Thursday. Friday late I get an e-mail saying that the repair is done. I don’t see this e-mail until Monday but it didn’t matter since the computer arrived shortly after I read the e-mail.
My parents are traveling in Europe right now. I have been talking to them via iChat. It is strange that they can be in Poland and I am in New York and we can pass news back and forth instantly. The world keeps getting smaller in some ways.
Ariel came back a day early which was a good thing considering all the airport problems that the Hurricane has caused. We head out for DragonCon on Thursday. I am hoping that the weather will not be a problem.
I have to finish the purple monster and the 2nd Manamana for DragonCon. If I can get a cool mask in I will but I am not pushing myself this time. I need to accept what I can do with the time and materials allotted.
Right now my chest and head feel stuffed and phlegmy. I have taken my allergy tablet and hope that will clear up the problem for me. I feel like I am working through a cloud. My thinking has been very fuzzy and disjointed. Caroline had a bad encounter with a mosquito and had 10 “boo-boos” to show for it. To keep her from scratching I have put band-aids over the ones she can get to and clothing over the rest.
We won 3rd place in our bowling league. I am happy with that and we got a cool trophy.
I am grateful for that 3rd place finish.
