Update on Victoria Ruvolo

Ryan Cushing met the woman whose life he changed when he threw a frozen turkey out a car window that he bought with a stolen credit card. Victoria Ruvolo forgave him and agreed to the plea deal that gave him a lenient sentence. She heard from his own lips that he was truly sorry for what he had done to her. She told him that everything would be OK. She gave him absolution for his stupidity. She has come a long way since a frozen turkey crushed her face. The word that people kept using to describe her was amazing and I have to say they are right. She is an amazing woman. I wish her health and happiness for giving me a fine example of humanity.
I found the most perfect Monster fur which must be made into a Monster. I also found some other furs that were tempting but I am going to wait until I have either a coupon or it goes on sale. I love Halloween if for nothing else the most interesting fabrics make an appearance. Well there are a lot of reasons I love Halloween. Also Simplicity is having a contest for people who make costumes based on their patterns. My Jack Sparrow came from one of those patterns so I am thinking of entering it in the contest. The outfit turned out very well.
In Dark Crystal sequel news, Lisa Henson has come out in the August issue of SFX (a fine media magazine) and cleared up a few things. They will be using puppets. David Odell who wrote the first one will be writing this one. And the biggie here is that Brian Froud is on board and will be creating some new character designs for the film. I am feeling much better about it than I was before. Apparently a cult following has sprung up from this film and they think it is big enough to support another film and possibly a TV series.
I am grateful that Brian is going to be working on that project.

Date: 2005-08-16 11:38 pm (UTC)Aw, MAN! I have a couple of their historical patterns, but none of my projects using said patterns are high enough up on the priority queue to be considered! Maybe if they do it again next year...
Definitely enter the Jack Sparrow. That was cool.
