A Heavenly Lecture

Peter and I went into the city yesterday to hear a museum lecture at the Cloisters given by Gwen. Her topic was "Heaven on their minds: Representations of Saints in Medieval Art." She did a very good job. Her lecture was engaging. Her speaking voice carried loud and clear. She kept the audience wanting more after she was done. She was very well versed in her topic and reference material. We are both very proud of her. I learned some information about Saint Iconography that I had not known before. This is always a plus of attending a good lecture. So Bravo Gwen!
We also found some good books for Peter to use for his next King Arthur novel so that was a bonus. I saw an image on a tapestry that I want to see if I can make as a mask. The drive in and the drive back was not terrible considering some of the traffic we managed to avoid by taking the roads less traveled.
I am still feeling a little under the weather. I am either going to get very sick or this is going to pass as a bad case of the sniffles. Some of it may have come from the cigarette smoke that I breathed over the weekend. I have had a problem with it before and this was the first time I encountered a lot of it in a short period of time. I had forgotten the phrase "Smoking or Non-Smoking" since the state of New York went to non-smoking in restaurants and bars.
Today I want to get pictures taken of my Qualities Doll and hammer either the Living Room or the Master Bedroom back into shape. I have an idea for a marionette that I may start to work on next but that will depend on time.
I am grateful that I was able to see Gwen's lecture.
