Beach 2005 Day 3

puppetmakerPeter got in and slept for a couple of hours trying to make up for the lack of sleep he had gotten between travel and the San Diego Comic Con. It was a very productive convention for him. He’s glad he went but he is also happy to see us again.
Caroline was ecstatic to see her daddy again. She couldn’t believe it at first but with a hug she knew he was really there and she shook with joy and glee. Having Peter back also means that the lap of nappiness is back so it was much easier to get her settled for bed. More of her routine could be in place. She is having a great time playing with her cousin Jenny. They played ball together and made sand castles. They seem to be sharing who takes the lead on the next thing they play. This is the first time that I can really think of that Caroline has played with someone rather than next to someone for an extended period of time.
Ariel spent a good part of the evening playing some insane dice game that a couple of my friends invented to be used in bars. She was playing it with my brother Sean and his wife Rozanna. Much laughter and giggling ensued punctuated with a bit of swearing as they won, almost won and lost big time. She has been reading more books and just vegetating which is a great thing to do on vacation.
Today we are off to see Shana for lunch and a visit. This time everyone is healthy. It will be nice to see her.
