Speaker of the House Tom Delay is "warning" that the judges who ruled in the Terry Shiavo vase should beware since they went "against" the wishes of the Congress. Someone in the Republican party needs to sit on him hard. The system of checks and balances has worked for over 200 years now, why mess with it because someone didn't do what YOU wanted them to do? This is a slippery slope that once slid down it will be damn hard to get up from.

And Senate Majority LEader Frist (R-TN) is trying to make the Judicial appointees immune from a fillibuster, which means that the Republicans get to vote on who gets seated and then they are in. Meaning the Dems are out, again.

I was also pretty disgusted when I heard this yesterday. I think he missed out on civics class, and law school, and basic Intro to Logic, and the fact that our judicial system isn't based on religion. The bit I heard basically sounded like he was chastising the judges and implying that when they died, and met God, God was going to be very pissed at what they did, because it was UnChristian. From the way Delay talks you'd think he has a direct line to Up There. All very irratating. and Irrational.
