Yesterday I started working at Michaels.

This is after two years of trying to find a job.

I know I am one of the lucky ones that I did find a job.

I am working in receiving and replenishment. Basically, I get to restock shelves and rotate the inventory and whatever else they need me for.

The hours are mostly before the store opens so I go in at 5am and get out at 9:30. Which gives me the rest of the day to do what I want. Also, with few exceptions, it is a Monday through Friday job which I am fine with.

I like all the people I have met there. It feels like a good fit.

I am looking forward to my next shift.

I am grateful to have a job.
