puppetmaker | Caroline has a pain in her ear

Caroline may have an earache. She had a bad time of it yesterday and kept tugging her right ear. We have a Doctor’s appointment today at 1:45 to check her out. She seemed to be getting better and then took a turn for the worse. She spent a lot of time on my lap. She just wanted me to hold her and make her feel better.

This is one of the most frustrating things about parenting so far. She is sick and I can’t do anything about it really. I can give her medicine that will make her feel a little better for a short time but that is about it other than the hugs and holding. I watch her being miserable and feel powerless.

Didn’t get as much done as I wanted to but with Caroline needing me I don’t feel bad about it. I have a shot at getting more done today and I plan to use it. I would really like to get my desk into order today. Right now it is swimming in a sea of paper with other objects piled on top. Some days it seems that all I do is clean but I know that is not the case.

I am starting work on the Shoreleave costumes. We have a great idea. I need to make sure I have my warm bodies in place. The costumes aren’t as complicated as some I have done but they are very detailed.

I am grateful for quiet momements.
