My 56th Year on this Planet Starts

puppetmakerToday I joined the Human Race and fifty-six later, I still feel like running.
I would like to thank my mother and father for having me in their lives. I have always felt love from them even when I did some really dumb things along the way.
I would like to thank my brothers and sister for being part of my life. I get along well with them and their spouses and children. I know I am very lucky to have this sort of relationship with them still. I had a good time spending some time, not enough but some, at DragonCon with Sean and Sheila. I hope to see Patrick and his family at Christmas.
I would like to thank my friends. Some I have been friends with for fifty years, others are of a newer mint. I appreciate each and every one of you a lot.
I would like to thank my husband who saved my life in ways he will never know…OK he knows a bit but I really don’t think I would be around if we hadn’t gotten together. He is my partner and companion. I love him a little more every day.
I would like to thank my step-daughters for accepting me in their lives. I am amazed at what they have done since I met them. They are good children and wonderful adults.
I would like to thank my daughter. I cannot think of my life without her in it. I know that soon she will spread her wings and fly from the nest onto adventures that I will only hear about rather than experience. And that makes me happy/sad at the same time. There is a song about this very subject in the Addams Family musical entitled “Happy/Sad” where Gomez sings about his daughter growing up and becoming her own person. It is a lovely song.
As in other years, here is the letter I wrote to me.
Dear Kath,
Another year with a lot happening. It was the good, the bad, and the ugly.
You have called on skills you have not used in the while. Let’s continue that trend.
This year was a bit more of a health roller coaster than I was comfortable with but in the end everything turned out OK. It did come down to my gut feeling that was eat better and exercise more. Now I know my limitations within that and can work my way back to something better.
You started your website No Strings Attached Puppets now you need to put the finishing touches on that. Selling more puppets would be a good source for income.
Also there is Peter’s Patreon page Peter David which needs more care and promotion.
So there are two projects for the next month.
You were asked to be the artist guest at HelioSphere, which is the first time you have been asked to fulfill that role. Trying to figure out what to take.
You have a lot ahead of you. Let’s focus the next year on that.
