puppetmakerToday is the beginning of Peter’s 60th year on the planet.
We are celebrating it in various ways including going to the New York Ren Faire tomorrow early in the day.
I gave him a scrapbook with photos, cards, notes and art that I have been working on assembling for him for a while now. He really liked it. He also got a copy of IT from Stephen King. Thanks to my friend Rob, I got him a copy of the skull mask that Daniel Craig wore in Specter. He was touched at the out pouring of love both here and on the Internet.
I love my husband very much. I don’t hide that at all.
I had someone say it must be pretty cool to be married to Peter David and I said no it’s very cool to be married to Peter David.
He has taken us on so many adventures all over the world. Caroline has petted cats on three continents. We have spent time in Middle Earth and on the TARDIS. We have shook hands with a number of actors who have played the same character. We have had dinner with interesting people with interesting stories to tell. We are part of several Scooby Gangs.
He is such a Dad. He is there for his girls. If he can help, he will. His daughters know that they are loved by their father. Now he has added the title of Grandfather and adores his grandsons AJ and Orson.
I knew Peter as a writer that I enjoyed reading before we actually met at one of the last Atlanta Fantasy Fairs. His name was a guarantee for a good read to me.
Since then I have been able to read a lot of things before anyone else. He had used me as a sounding board and first reader and trusts what I saw about his writing. He helps me with my writing as well which I appreciate.
We have the same sort of quirky sense of humor. I promised Andreas Katsulas , before Peter and I got married, that Peter made me laugh and I tried to do the same for him. We still crack each other up. The number of in jokes in the household is amazing.
He makes me feel loved and treasured. I hope I do the same for him. He reminds me of my worth and I remind him of his.
Today I celebrate my husband’s life. He is every bit as awesome as you think he is and so much more.
I am grateful that Peter is in my life and I am in his.
