puppetmakerShort version is that we had a pipe break that had, apparently, been leaking for a while before it broke in a storage space above a closet in the Living Room that we never go into. And because it had been a slow leak we didn’t know about, we now have mold to the point that the plumber can’t fix it until we get rid of the mold. Calls are into the insurance company and adjustors are coming today and then we see exactly how screwed we are but we are pretty screwed.
Needless to say I didn’t get much done except deal with the fallout from this information.
Today I am going back to the gym. I think my back is at a point that I can pick things back up but I do plan on being careful. I need this really bad.
The rest of the day is a crap shoot since it all depends on what other people say and I really don’t like to not be control of my time.
I applaud Congressman John Lewis for taking a stand and holding a good ol’ fashion sit-in to protest the lack of voting on various bills that all they want is an up or down vote. They are still going using people’s cell phones to make sure we can see what is going on in the House chamber. I met Congressman Lewis at this past DragonCON. He, Caroline, Michael Bond, and Nichelle Nichols talked about civil rights then and now. Caroline was complimented on her political acumen.
We have CSPAN on and are watching.
