puppetmakerWe took Caroline to at Christmas party at her playgroup. She had the typical reaction to Santa Claus that most 2 year olds have. She ran away crying. She really didn’t want to deal with this guy in red with white trim and a long white beard. We dressed her in one of her new dresses that she got for her birthday. She looked so, well for lack of a better term, grown up. She was fully a little girl with no hint of baby left. I might get some pictures up on the web later today if I get some other stuff done. Or I might wait and do a whole Holiday photo spread.
I am starting to get ready for travel. I have to gather the various presents from the four corners of the house. I need to make sure I put all our travel stuff together including the maps that have saved our tushies more than once. I need to get a new headset for one of the cell phones since the previous one met an unfortunate end in a cat’s mouth. Then there is making sure we have enough batteries for everything that needs batteries. I have to find the various chargers for various cameras. Cell phones, camcorders, and other electronic devices (all the ones that don’t use batteries.) I need to find out which stuffed animals are the current must haves for bed and hope that the Pooh Bear that is as big as Caroline is not one of them. She seems to rotate who comes to bed with her. I need to make sure that all our good cloths that we are taking don’t need to be dry cleaned or I need to get them so, The list goes on and on. I know it will all get done. It always does. Unlike a convention trip, I am not trying to make room for the costumes and books and other stuff that travels to conventions with us.
I have an idea for a puppet that would be different than what I have done before. He is still running around in my head so it may be a bit before I can work on him. I am thinking of entering the LunaCon Art Show again this year with some new stuff. Art shows tend to motivate me to working on projects. It seems that if I don’t have a defined goal, I tend to procrastinate a lot. It is as if I can’t do it for myself but have to have some sort of an audience. Or maybe that is just a load of Dingo’s kidneys.
Peter has been having computer problems and connection problems to the internet. I pulled the PC that I got from Randomhouse a couple of years ago to see if that would help at all. Glenn, web-master and all around great guy, came two days in a row to see if we could get things sorted out. I think the situation is better but we are still out a phone line for the fax. I am hoping we can get a break on the phone bill since we haven’t been able to use it for about a week now. Still no luck hooking Peter’s computer to the wireless system we have going here.
I am grateful for the ability to check on up coming weather without having to wait for a newscast or newspaper.
