We read an article in Variety talking about how fandom has come to shape things in Entertainment. It was by an anthropologist who works in the entertainment industry about the power of fans especially with the advent of the concept of social media. You can read the article here if you care to.

They are talking about doing a year long study into fandom and Caroline said, “You don’t study the Fandom, the Fandom studies you.” Which is probably true considering how fans can take the littlest thing like a comment off the cuff or a photo that was taken during a shoot and analyze the heck out of it to the point of absurdity.

Dr. Strange was filming in the Village (Greenwich Village for those outside of NYC) yesterday and a lot of photos have made it onto the Internet. For me that was a Yippie because I can finally make that Doctor Strange puppet I want to make along with a Baron Mordo puppet. For others it was their time to either trash or treasure the photos depending on which soap box they were currently shouting from. Personally I think it looks great and I am so looking forward to seeing this film.

X-Men Apocalypse has a new trailer and I am stoked to see this film as well. But before that, we have Captain America Civil War.

It’s a great time to be a fan.

Speaking of fans, baseball starts up today. Right now everyone is in the mix for winning it all.

And Basketball is winding down. Can the Golden State Warriors break the Bulls record? And who will win it all?

But currently I am enjoying the Doctor Strange pictures and waiting for Once Upon a Time to air this evening. Caroline is watching her way through Buffy. Peter is working on his next novel.

Fandom is good right now.

I am grateful for all the photos from the set of Doctor Strange.

The new Suicide Squad movie has stirred memories of the rec.arts.comics Suicide Squid character (yes, a typo), and people chiming in that they still have the T-shirt. Yes, I still have my T-shirt, too.
