RTBTCKI Just Another Day

puppetmakerI’ve got Oingo Boingo stuck in my head right now. Yesterday is was “Our House” by Madness. A lot of things that I listened to in my youth are running through my head right now.
Where we are with Hook this morning

I may post some photos tomorrow of the finished project.
So there is that and getting Peter ready for Wizard World Las Vegas, which he is going to very early tomorrow morning. Very Early.
And that will pretty much be my day.
Peter has a writing assignment he wants to finish before he goes so that’s his day today.
Caroline has school and then dress rehearsal for the Little Mermaid JR and that’s her day.
One of the cats torn into a plastic container of catnip and it is all over the place this morning. I don’t know which cat because all three of them are acting like nutcases this morning and are only now settling down for their AM naps.
I am thinking good thoughts about a couple of friends who all have surgery today. And a couple of other friends who are recovering from surgery in the past couple of days.
We finished this season of House of Cards last night. Hit that point that we binged the last three episodes to see what was going to happen next. Clever show that took the British Version and adapted it nicely to the American Model. Kevin Spacey is an amazing actor as is Robin Penn and they impressed me with their performances. My only quibble is that it took me a while to remember all the players with the number of brunet men with short hair wandering in and out. No spoilers please for those who haven’t seen it because I managed to stay spoiler free and was surprised by some of the things that transpired.
Someone told me that they keep a dictionary near by when they read my web log because they are always learning new words from me. I keep learning new words too as they come to my attention. Caroline learned at a young age that if she didn’t know a word that we said, she could ask us about it and we would define it for her. Her last reading score had her on a college level for vocabulary and understanding of material.
It’s quiet this morning and that’s nice. I can heard birds chirping, people talking on their cell phones as they walk by, the train off in the distance, my neck creaking, and the music in my head which has switched to Writing on the Wall which won the Oscar.
I am grateful for the silence that is not so silent.
